Will Alaskan Bush People Be Canceled?

Alaskan Bush People Caught Not Living In Alaska

Billy Brown and Family before court charges
Will Alaskan Bush People on the
Discovery Channel get Canceled?
By now everyone's heard Billy Brown's Family on the Alaskan Bush People has been charged with multiple felonies over multiple years from falsifying applications for the Alaskan Permanent Fund Dividend check sent to all full-time residents. The family members were also charged with minor offenses for buying resident hunting, and fishing license's when not meeting the requirements of the Alaska Department and Game to be considered full-time residents of the State. For a Reality TV Show going out of its way getting viewers to believe the Brown Family Kids have always been raised in the Alaskan Bush their entire lives, well let's just say this doesn't (at first glance) look good for the Show or the Discovery Channel.

Can the Alaskan Bush People survive such a scandal that goes right to the heart of the Show? Not only will they survive, but the Alaskan Bush People will grow even more popular no matter what happens in court.

Here's why the Brown Family will be the very first Reality Show caught in a lie and proven to be fake, (as far the reality show is concerned) and yet will become even bigger Reality TV Stars as a result.

Billy Brown is currently facing 24 charges from the State of Alaska
along with charges for his wife Ami (Amora) Brown, and four of the children including Joshua (Bam-Bam) Brown, Solomon Brown, Gabrial Brown and Noah Brown. Neither of the two daughters Snowbird and Rain Drop, or the youngest son Bear Brown were charged with any crimes.

The Brown Family's Attorney's unsuccessfully tried plea bargaining the case down to Billy Brown and oldest son Joshua, would have each received two years probation and work 40 hours of community service. Billy also agreed to pay back $7956.00 to the Alaskan Permanent Fund, and Joshua agreed to pay back $1174,00 for his fine. Amy and the three other children's charges would've been dismissed under the plea bargain agreement, but still required to pay $3000.00 and 20 hours of community service each. Interestingly, the Brown Family wasn't at the courtroom held in Juneau, Alaska in person, but by phone sitting in Seattle, Washington some 1700 miles away.

The entire mess could've been resolved for the Brown's a few days ago on Thursday, November 18, 2015, but the Judge rejected the plea bargain agreement sending the case back to square one. The Juneau Superior Court Judge Philip Pallenberg said in part, "The deal was too lenient and needed to include jail time to carry some teeth". The Judge was also quoted saying "30 days in jail would be appropriate for the crime". Billy Brown and his Family's next scheduled hearing is in two weeks on December 3, 2015. Will Billy, his wife Amy and four of their children need to spend some time in jail to finally get this problem resolved? If the Judge has anything to say about it, they just might.

Once the Brown Family's legal troubles are finally over, the big question is "can the Alaskan Bush People survive this type of news, or will the Show be canceled?" Will the Fan's of the Show forgive the Brown's for not really living in Alaska full-time? Or have they known all along this entire Reality Show is all based around one of Billy Brown's Novels? It's a story about a large Alaskan Family growing up in the Bush and surviving on their terms. It reads like a backwoods version of the Brady Bunch raising a large happy family where everyone always gets along. Sound Familiar?

The reality is, the Brown Family's done such a terrific job playing their characters on The Alaskan Bush People that many viewers really thought this Show was the real deal. The over 150+ comments on the "Alaskan Bush People's Net Worth" article proves the audience (at least to me) is very passionate about this Show. Everyone seems to have an opinion, both positive as well as the negative side. But the positive comments watching the Show for what it really is, (An Entertaining TV Show for the entire Family) overwhelming approve of the Brown Family even knowing most of the scenes are staged for TV.

Aside from the court case still pending, will the general public forgive the Alaskan Bush People now that everyone knows the Brown's don't live in Alaska full-time? Sure, it doesn't look good by any stretch of the imagination, but is it really as bad as it first appears especially when you consider the date's go all the way back before the Alaskan Bush People first aired on Discovery Channel?

Before the Brown's became famous, the large family obviously was financially struggling to survive having nowhere near the net worth they have today. I'm not trying to dismiss the seriousness of the charges, but as a single dad raising two kids on my own, I certainly understand what it's like putting their needs ahead of "anything else," even if it was prolonging the inevitable for hopefully a better time.

Compared to other Reality TV scandals that brought the Show's to an abrupt end, should the Alaskan Bush People be canceled just because the Brown Family doesn't really live in Alaska full-time? IMO they need this thing settled the sooner. the better, and then get back to doing what the family does best, playing convincing roles of what it's like living in the Alaskan Bush.

  1. It seems like the Brown's live cautiously and are real life outdoorsmen. I love the show and hope that they can straighten out their errors and get back to living their lives and sharing it with us. How does everyone know the land is DC and the boat isn't theirs? Where did you find that information, is it available somewhere? I am sure they make $ doing the show but with all their recent hospital stays it goes fast, and they won't do the show forever so they better save all they can while they can.

    1. I agree totally with you. I would rather watch a show like this than the stupid kardasians and crap like that. I live in the north woods and its very remote we have to take guns to fish due to bear. City people have no idea what it takes to live in the woods and hunt for food! As far as net worth it's peanuts compared to what other reality show personnel make. The clothes issue there are nice clothes at resale shops,St Vincent, and good will. So you city people are clueless!!

    2. No we aren't clueless, just not stupid. Just listening to the way they talk should clue you in on the lack of education they have. Supposedly the parents were hippies and drop outs but yet they have an education enough to home school their kids? The show is so phony, if people would just look at it objectively and not get suckered in to their phoney lifestyle. And why in hell don't they get her teeth fixed and the daughters? Maybe because they are just made to look bad? Give me the Last Frontier any time. If they have been breaking the law then they should pay for it just like you or I would.

    3. I love this show. I hope the legal and health problems are resolved. I really need/want "more" seasons of this family show. PLEASE!! Let's all forgive & move on. I believe in the family.

    4. Unlike many of the viewers that have made comments, I watched the show because I thought it was a REAL life experience, but it did not take long to realize that it was not. Clearly, the family has had some experience in living off the grid, but not much. There is no doubt that the family is a group of grifters. Claiming shows as being reality that are not is nothing new for the Discovery channel. They have become wide open liars and prey on people who enjoy the realities of living in Alaska. I stopped watching Discovery after being introduced to the Alaska Bush people. For those of you who do not care about the false claims of reality, I say, it is your perogative. I will not insult you for your choice, but sorry, your name calling and insults for us who do not like liars is indicative of blind followers, the stuff that cults and gangs are made of. Billy Brown's Brown town and referring to themselves as the community that they built brings back memories of Jim Jones and Jonestown.

    5. They are all very good actors. The show us totally fake. I do not believe the Bears destroyed brown town because the camera shows the bear entering through a windowless window. Clearly, it was scripted. The Discovery Channel should keep the show only if they present it for what is is. An a less family of nomads roaming from around Alaska who are pretending to live in the wilderness. In reality, they are thrives and chests.

    6. You watch but you heard what you want to hear. They all ready told you that they came from well to do familys. That the mothers family had drunks in it. They kind of explain every thing all ready.

    7. As far as the Browns being "Bush" people I have to agree with those who think the show is totally scripted and fake. One previous writer mentioned the episode wherein the bear entered the cabin, if the Browns were so adept at living int the wild on a island with such a large bear population they would have the know how to bear proof their cabin. Then there is the matter of the electrical sockets in the cabin. I haven't heard anything of a generator to provide electricity. One more thing, I don't know of any self respecting gun owner who would use hot chicken fat poured over the action of a rifle to keep it lubricated. That's just three things that indicate the show is entirely fake. The list goes on and on.

    8. Hey, look, I know these people and the show's a fake... I'm British and spend time in Hoonah having sailed our boat there from the UK... we're 'hardcore' too, see ourselves at www.sanna-uk.com. There boat was in the same Hoonah boatyard as ours and we all stayed at the Icy Straights Lodge hotel. They're nice people and Billy Brown has found a good way to make a living out of Discovery Channel... is there anything wrong with that eh? Do you really think that TV's always for real?

However, it's entertainment for me!!!! It's better than watching all the shoot em up, killing shows that are on these days....
So I say, "Everyone has her or his own mind to Watch what makes you happy & feel good!"
So Preach on about it being fake, but do you really believe someone can meet their mate on a TV reality show, get married & live happily ever after???? (The Bachelor/ The Bachelorette).....
      Just Saying!!!
I enjoy watching the Brown Family living at BrownTown....

Omg what is wrong with people, This is tv, it is for our entertainment, finally have some good clean fun, besides watching a bunch of siblings trying to see who can buy the biggest a%&, thats all they do, they do something new to there body so they can get talked about for awile untill it gets old, a bunch of BS, its sad!!! This show steps up to the plate trying to bring some wholesome good clean family fun to the world, and they get tore down cause they are actually human and make mistakes and stage a few things for our viewing..and another thing...I would come closer to to buying the bush familys beauty products before the kardashians they fail to leave out the creams that make there lips and a%#*@ bigger, that's not surprising!!! ..Bird and Rain have more talent than all those girls put together when it comes down to it..

So what if they go into town....travel..it's the nature of the show I love to see!! Think they've all had a hard life..just as our forefathers did. Keep it on!!! Rather see the nature than killing a and crime shows!!!

I love the show whether true or false, it is great entertainment...I think the show should continue if for no other reason than it is pure entertainment. A big ThankYou to all of those who are a part of this show.

You are probably right, and while I don't agree with the Discovery Channel being lesson truthful, it certainly is refreshing to see a show with a bunch of young men and ladies and not a bunch of bleach bleep, bleep, bleeping every other word that is said, and how the family gets along so well and love each other... You can't fake that!

I agree im sick of reality shows that there is nothing but smut and foul mouth's. also how many of you live in the north of BC or Alaska it's now what you would think, do bears come to your door? You bet they do, im not saying the Browns are perfect but who among us or any for that fact can say we've and or you haven't done anything wrong? The Browns may not be perfect but who is? Are you I dout it but hay trash them if it makes you feel good. But remember we have all made mistakes and have done wrong thing in our live, Don't judge until you have walked a mile in my shoes. Isn't it said? Just asking?

  5. The Brown's should be punished like any other person defrauding the State. They are not as poor as they are being portrait on tv and they are bad actors as well. It would have been nice if the Discovery Channel told their viewers from the beginning that this show is only simulation and not the real thing

  6. I love the"show",all of the Browns are very entertaining, endearing characters.Lets first have all of the illegal residents, refugees, and the scores of other folks that work under the table, pay no taxes on that money, and basically contribute nothing to our country, pay back what they've stolen and do jail time before we destroy the Browns who do pay taxes and bring us laughter and a good escape. Let them pay it back, pay a fine, and get on with the show!!!

    1. I totally agree. They may have made a few mistakes, and not noone can throw the first stone. Let them pay the government whatever they owe and go on. They are good people. They live life caring, loving and Enjoying the nature of the Alaskan life style. So please let it be.I haven't seen anything inappropriate in the show. We need to have more shows like The Browns series. I hope that they continue to air the show, so that we can see wives and grandchildren of the Browns. They had so much devastation starting with Billy's childhood, they deserve a happy life. And with their raising and roots, nothing
will stop them to fulfill their dreams.

  7. I admit that I like watching the show, but not for the reasons that the Discovery Channel would like. I watch just to see what kind of hilarious lie is going to peddled next. These people are not at home in the backwoods. They don't have the most basic wilderness skills that you would expect. They definitely don't know their way around a vessel or even the most basic piloting skills. Plus, they are never dressed for the occasion. It looks like they are dropped at their cabin each day from a helicopter. I feel sorry for them.

    1. I kinda have to agree with you on their boat skills. Billy (the dad) says the kids grew up on a boat yet none of the boys have basic skills to even dock a boat properly in good weather. Also when Billy bought the boat....no boat buyer buys a boat without having it dry docked to have the hull inspected, so weeks later as Billy discovers their hull/boat side is literally disintegrating is no surprise. (i think he then dry docked it for inspection, then put it back in the water, then repaired it with some kind of on the fly cheap resin/or fiberglass). DIY self repair is fine but the way he did it was terrible, i wouldn't risk my family on it in Alaskan waters.

  8. My immediate reaction from the very first episode was what an idiotic portrayal of real bush life this show is. Then I began to appreciate the potential for entertainment if I could find a group of like minded people. I eventually did and found and joined "Alaskan Bush People/Alaskan Bush Family - Group". We have had a lot of fun identifying and discussing all the conflicts with rational human behavior and objective thinking portrayed as real life by the Browns. Most easily identifiable and understood by almost anybody is that every round trip to town and back to Brown Town would take at least a hundred dollars worth of fuel. That is obvious and undeniable and sets the limits to which they stretch reality. Watching them shoot at a deer with the protective covers still on the telescopic sight of the rifle is priceless. Benefitting from digitally recorded scenes we authenticate our conclusion by verifying that the rifle either did not have a front iron sight or iron sights obscured by the scope mounts. We supercede subjectivity and supply all our discoveries with logically objective explanations. The shows are so richly saturated with these contradictions providing such fun and entertainment that the Browns have provided us with ongoing entertainment, The slight innuendos of hoisting empty barrels implied to weigh 600 pounds is exposed by the unatural angle of deflection of the ropes lifting the barrels. Whether challengingly obscured or blatantly irrational there is no end to the entertainment professing to be real "Bush Life". I must admit that I am conflicted between my selfish entertainment or the need for legal and social responsibility about the outcome for the show. I know I would miss the inevitable dissolution of my discussion group if the "Browns" were canceled.

  9. I love the show and frankly don't care if there are contradictions. As someone wrote in a previous comment it's so much better than seeing a lot of the other garbage aired on television... (like the Kardashians)!!! I come from a very large family (ten), so it's nice to see a family together and loving as they seem to appear. There are thousands that cheat their way through life, so what if they live in Seattle part time or whatever amount they do. Think about the numerous soldiers who fake injury to collect disability from the government (and yes I know a few that do), all the illegals that work under the table and don't pay a dime in taxes, better yet the ones that are documented that still work under the table and collect food stamps, housing assistance and ones that say they no longer live with their significant others yet continue to do so and collect services and so on. Yes I see this everyday where I live. In my mind what the Browns did is minimal compared to what others do in our country. Let them pay their fines, do community service and get on with it. Sounds to me like the judge just wants to make a few headlines and make an example out of them. I guarantee they are not the only ones who have falsely collected $$$ for residing in Alaska. Give me a break!

  10. I know Billy's mother, father & sister were killed in a tragic plane crash. He was a young boy & his exstended family tricked him out of money that he should have been his. He was homeless and lived in a boys detention center. I think the show is real but yes now they can afford to live part time in a in a house with electricity.. i don't blame them! I like watching the Browns & there creative family braving the wilderness. Sometimes.. i think to myself that i want to live in the Alaskan Bush! LMBO I wouldn't survive a day! Merry Christmas to the Brown Family. God Bless!

    2. I agree, there is enough garbage on tv without adding more to it. Since they dont' live there full time then they shouldn't be paid for it and they sure as hell owe the state the money they have stolen from the "real" residents. 22. Who wrote this story? In paragraph three it says the youngest son "Bear" was the youngest son". The youngest son is Noah and it was Matt and the two girls that didn't get accused. I love the Alaskan Bush people also, there are more rich people scramming money off the government and they don't get into trouble. I live in Alaska and I know what it like to live there. In other words "don't knock it, till you tried living there" Kudos to everyone you enjoyed the Bush people as I do. Hope to see them next season.

  23. Wow I can't believe what I'm reading. I see a lot of people criticizing reality TV. Let's face the fact everything we see in reality TV is not 100% accurate, which is OK that's why it is called TV it's for your entertainment pleasure only. I can't believe a lot of people here criticizing about the Alaskan bush people here's a family who's showing you how to bond together work as a team and show respect to one another. As we look at TV now there is no other family on TV that you see working together to accomplish one common goal. let's face it as technology keep advancing our society makes you lose in touch with the people that are right next to you, because we're so busy being entertaining with our new gadget such as cell phones iPads extra and being on social media. Why don't you criticize a real show that doesn't educate you about nothing such as the Kardashians or love and hip hop. These shows are about a whole bunch of people who is getting rich never giving back to the community or helping out anywhere in the society. All they show is a lot of fights people having sex and people sleeping with one another and then making some underground sex tape to make some more millions. You should criticize a show like that first. Before you criticize a shows that show you the true meaning of family value. Who cares what there network worth at the end of the day none of us pay their bills so just let them live happy. Alaskan bush people keep entertaining me and showing me what family value it's all about. Keep showing me that sharing one moment with your family will give you a lifetime of memories.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think the main point that people make here is that the show is fake but advertised as a reality show and millions of viewers still believe that.

If you believe that cheating the Alaskan people out of State tax moneys ads to family values, your own values can't be very high.

  27. "...Why is the little guy held accountable and not so called elitists? In fairness... Give them a break!..."

You are justifying their crimes by the fact that others commit similar crimes? How about people that are not celebrities that cheat the government out of money, is that OK as well? They did not just make an honest mistake, but knowingly defrauded the Alaskan Government.

  30. It always seems to me that we, as a people. love to hold folks up high then find out that they have feet of clay..we do it to politicians, actors, sports heroes, etc. Some of the things we discover are horrible, despicable acts - and we feel totally disillusioned and betrayed - as with Bill Crosby. That being said, yes the Brown's did wrong, but they should be able to make amends. I believe that is what they are trying to do. My family loves the show and it has peaked our interest in possibly visiting Alaska, it looks so beautiful. I personally feel that the Brown family has done more to promote tourism for Alaska, than any Chamber of Commerce could. I truly hope that the "show" can continue - it is much more interesting than watching a stupid Kardashian chip a nail.....

  34. Pure enjoyment, so much funnier and healthier than other stuff on TV these days. Whether you believe it or not, learn from a loving family.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love the show, for what it's worth... It's obvious they don't know the first thing about roofing or bear-proofing the homestead. Any real Alaskan bush man knows to hang the tin from the top down to overlap the metal. And to use nail spikes on plywood over Windows doors and exterior floors to keep the Bears out... A couple of planks over an open window with the rich smells of sugar, spices and food isn't going to keep any bear out of the house. But to repeat the same lame "bear proofing"? I mean, come on!!!

They bartered for materials and built a house with community assistance. And then abandoned the homestead over rifle fire? They didn't even consider that someone might be shooting at a predatory animal? Just up and assumed they better go to town... LOL

Now, who with nothing and nowhere to go abandons the home and the land they've worked so hard to build up and make their home without a fight?

But enough of the negatives, the show portrays a family loyal and loving. Unlike the broad schemes of television today. America needs the Brady bunch bush people. If nothing else, it's feel good tv and incredibly good entertainment. I imagine the "accents" the kids have are a blending of accents from spending time in Texas and other Lower 48 states they've visited over their lifetimes.

As for taking money that was not rightfully theirs, just pay it back. They have confessed, been judged and sentenced. Sounds to me that there is a lot of jealousy going on, maybe because some of you have not come up with a way to make money. If they do the time and pay back the money, I say leave them alone. One last the thing to say, isn't it wonderful that the world is made up of PERFECT PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IN ALASKA. No one is without fault no not one.

  39. Watching the tv show, following the people and their lives I felt connected. I felt for them and their struggles. I watched the last episode and cried my eyes out for them. I came online to try and send a message of hope and say a prayer for them, only to find out that everything is a lie and they are in no way shape or form in need. I do not plan on watching the show ever again. Horrible.

    1. That is right, the only time they are in the woods when the show is actually being filmed. The clothes they wear would not be appropriate for the weather conditions, they wear jewelry, and it took him 30 years to build a cabin. I do have to laugh, they have sunk a boat, caught fire to a 2nd boat, built the first cabin on someones property and were chased off, 2nd cabin was destroyed by bears, went on a vacation and purchased a motor home, this also caught fire, whats next ?

    2. I did have to laugh when Billy went out and BOUGHT a HUGE motor home for a 5 day trip instead of just RENTING a well maintained one for 5 days like a normal human being would do for a last minute vacation excursion. Billy: "Oh look Ami lets buy this 30 year old motor home on Craig's list for 10 thousand dollars, instead of renting one for 5 days for 1 thousand dollars!
"Oh BTW whats Craig's List"? Hahaha

    1. That is an excellant idea ! The spin off show would be Come and visit the Browns, a group of people move in with the Browns in their so called "camp" for entire year in the Alaskan wilderness. The Browns could teach everybody what they have used over the last 25 or 30 years surviving in the forest fishing and hunting using just the what is found in the wilderness, the winners that last a year our officially part of the Brown Klan, maybe they could be invited to continue living in the near proximity of the Browns and become a regular part of the show, as this show has been on for several years and its time time to find out if maybe the Browns are for real or phony

  41. The discovery channel must have realised they are not what they say they are. If it bothered them that much then the programme would have been stopped ages ago. I live in the UK and have only seen a few but thoroughly enjoy their excentric life style. Good Luck to them, its better than sitting on their back end and do nothing. Good Luck Brown Family

  42. Wow all you Hunters and hikers know you don't wear a long coat and you don't wear a fur coat in the woods and they wear a'lot of rings and necklaces for living in the woods. And their cloths seem to be in good shape no holes and they have a clean coat on.

  43. I'm so glad we have variety on t.v. I personally like the Bush People. I watch it but,
there are some programs that I won't pay the electric bill to watch. Lets move on people
the remote is to change channels if you don't like one change to another. LET THE BROWN's
    alone.

  45. People please! Do learn to spell or do a spell check before submitting your comments. There are too many self-righteous people throwing stones here who sound just as ignorant as the ones they're bashing about being uneducated, deceptive and ignorant.

...It's only a show, after all! And how many "reality" shows have there been that haven't been heavily edited or staged at one point or another? In comparison to most televised shows currently on air, ABP is a mild one, rather harmless and innocently entertaining in its presentation. (At least I wouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed while watching it with my children, parents or grandmother.)
The wise thing (regarding any media and its influence) is to use it as a tool, as an opportunity to learn something new and to educate yourself -- and then use your god-given commonsense to research and to ferret out accuracy and truth.

Just don't fall apart over a silly show, or embrace a lynch mob's mentality over fiction or make-believe.
There are too many real and pressing needs and issues in our world today that are in dire need of that focus and passion, instead.

    No harm - no foul.

  46. Alaskan bush people is very entertaining , Most people couldn't (even serious actors)live or survive in the woods. I would love to see KIM K , take a crap in the woods. She couldn't do it. They are a true American family anyway you look at it. Would all you haters like it better if they were a gang shooting up a town, like most young men in America. Try killing your own food for dinner once, knowing if you miss you don't eat for that winter. Try living without a cell or computer for a week or even a year. Most of you would go nuts in a day. It's nice to see a show without all the glamour of Hollywood attached to it. Take survivor on T.V do you really think that is real? And it has a very big following. Let those who have not done wrong cast the first stone. WE all have done wrong in our life, or even the easy way around something hoping not to get caught. If you were to run back ground checks on everyone in Alaska you would end up with half the population in jail. There is no law in those remote towns, and that's why some folks live there, to get away. Billy Brown could have a billion bucks, but he doesn't show it or flaunt it around like most billionaires. His family chooses to live this way, to them this is the way they know best and most of all makes them happy. If you don't like it hit the remote to the Kardashians. God bless them in their new season, hope to see many more. Dicovery channel congrates, but the commercials are getting out of hand.

    1. People that prefer non-fiction, rather than fiction are not haters. Get off your soap box. You sound like a member of the family...who post comments under various names all over the internet on a daily basis. It doesn't bother me that there are people that like the show and do not care that it is very little reality. Billy Brown has written children's books, fiction and non-fiction. Just enjoy the show and stop insulting anyone who doesn't.

  48. Ok so they walk away from their home to go take care of bussiness.how come before they leave they dont secure their home so the bears cant get in.board up the windows put nails in the boards facing outwards so when that bear trys to get in its going to get its paws poked..that would stop it..for being in the bush as long as they say they have been they need more comman sence..think about it.

    1. LOL Bears are excellent climbers! First or second story windows are no problem for a hungry large black bear like I have around my house here in northern Michigan. And they can really make a mess!

  51. I like the show, and there is know one perfect and I'm ok with that. But, I wish you all would not be criticizing the way the lower 48 people live, I do not criticize the way you all live if you really live that way, but just because you don't like the lower states does not give you the right to cut down the way we live.

  52. When the show first aired, I thought it was great, a family living off grid , obviously home home schooled children by parents that can't function in society as we know it. They seem to be living in a green life fully substainable with resources from the wild. But over the several years their show has aired they have obviously changed, They have gone into business for themselves, shipping items across the bay, cant wait until they make a deal for the second boat so they can expand operations and keep their audience and show a float. An Idea for the spin off would be challenge a group of people to go live with the Browns for 1 year, in the wild, see if you would be able to handle what they have done for the last 30 years! Where do I sign up , I am ready for the Alaskan Bush Challenge

  53. Wish I could get on the show, I like hunting, fishing and camping. Alaska is beautiful and I was reading that this may happen, the show is kinda stale and for a new twist they may have some type of show with people that have no survival skills are put out into the Alaskan wilderness with the Browns to mentor them. I am ready to go!

  54. I think the Brown Family has showed they are true Alaskans so leave them alone. I hope they are allowed to continue there show because I love it. I live every day working for someone else and I hate it. But my little family is extremley close and we also take care of each other that is what you do as a famly. That is what I think everyone should take away from this show. You don't see that now of daysd. FAMILY

    1. I am not sure where you live, but I live in the south and a strong family unit is a way of life here.
We raise our children to deal with the real world and make sure they can fly - it is what parents are suppose to do. We teach and help them to be able to communicate with people, work hard at a job that they like to do, be humble, be kind and keep them coming back when they have family of their own.

  55. I LOVE THE SHOW AND I LOVE THE BUSH TOO!! SO WHAT IF EVERYTHING IS NOT AN EXACT REPRESENTATION OF WHAT ACTULLY HAPPENED TO THESE PEOPLE? THE VALUES OF FAMILY LOVE AND LOYALTY I SUSPECT ARE MOSTLY TRUE FOR THEM. THIS PROGRAM IS SO FAR SUPERIOR IN CALIBER TO MOST OF THE JUNK ON THE TV. AS FAR AS THE BEAR ATTACK ON THE CABIN, IT IS NOT HARD TO BELIEVE FOR ME AT ALL. WE HAVE BEARS WHERE I LIVE. THEY CAN BE VERY DESTRUCTIVE! A LOCKED WOODEN STORAGE SHED WITH BIRD SEED IN IT AND NO HUMAN ACTION AROUND FOR A FEW DAYS ENDED UP WITH THE DOOR RIPPED OFF BY A BEAR AT ONE OF MY FRIEND'S HOUSES. AND I THINK THE LACK OF DENTAL CARE INDICATES THEY SPEND MORE TIME IN THE BUSH THAN A LOT OF YOU BELIEVE. HOPEFULLY THEY CAN NOW AFFORD TO GET DENTAL WORK DONE. BUT IT WILL COST THOUSANDS. I HOPE THIS SHOW GOES ON AND ON. I ENJOY EVERY MINUTE.

  56. I am crazy about the show! That battling nature reality is the trend notwithstanding, ..it offers a lot. I can 'feel' nature which soothes my soul. Seeing well behaved polite young men is heartwarming. Their antics are enjoyable. The 'boys are eye candy for all types! Billy and Amish are also entertaining in their niche. I Am upset with the show..... That they don't film more!!!

  57. After seeing several of the first shows that was enough for me. Having said that most of the Alaska life shows are not what they appear to be. Other than Alaskan Bush People, I do enjoy several other 'survival/homesteader programs, this is just not one of them.

  58. My favorite show. Love the Brown family, fake or not, what isn't fake on TV. Most shows including the news is full of lies, sex and scandal. Keep the show going its great clean entertainment, cancel the Kardashians, Big Brother etc. Keep the show going

  59. The only complaint i have is the boat. The integrity is a fine craft with military history. She deserves better than to be beat to hell by poor sailing. Restore her properly or retire her. Further, why don't Alaskains disply the US flag on thier vessels? An old T shirt witha bear drawn on it? Really?
