Duggar Family from 19 Kids and Counting
Where Did the Duggar Family Net Worth Go?
The Duggar Family Reality TV Stars after ten years in the spotlight |
In 2008, The Duggar's decided to become full-time Reality TV Stars with the first Season called "17 Kid's and Counting" that consisted of eleven episodes. In Season 2 they changed the name to "18 Kids and Counting" as the Duggar Family continued to grow in both size and popularity with 21 episodes along with a hefty pay raise. In Season 3 filming 28 episodes, Jim Bob, and Michelle decided to slow down that year and surprisingly, for the first time, didn't need to change the Reality Shows name.
When Season 4 rolled around in 2010, the Duggar's needed to change once again the name of the Show to "19 Kids and Counting".
Jim Bob, Michelle and their 19 Kid's were quickly becoming popular Reality TV Stars making a reported $25,000.00 to $55,000.00 per episode and becoming famous for, we'll, having more Kids. How much did Jim Bob and the Duggar Family get paid for filming "19 Kids and Counting" Reality Show?
In Season 4 the Show had a whopping 41 Episodes and another 38 episodes filmed in Season 5. The Show 19 Kids and Counting ended up with 26 Episodes in Season 6 along with an all expense paid vacation to China and Japan that was filmed for the Show. Twenty three Episodes were filmed for Season 7, and another 29 Episodes was on TV featuring the Duggar Family is Season 8.
The Ninth Season of "19 Kids and Counting" abruptly ended on the 20th episode on May 19, 2015, when news came out what Josh had done to his younger sisters as a teenager. After a decade in the spotlight filming 237 Episodes, the Duggar Family's entire money making empire came crashing to a halt as more details emerged. Going from making $50 Grand or so per episode, plus royalties from re-runs, advertisers and of course the National Brands supporting the Family, to essentially being cut off after the Show was canceled, appears to already starting to take a financial toll on the Duggar's Net Worth.
Now before getting too concerned how the Duggar's can continue supporting this extra large Family with the lifestyle they're now accustomed to, Jim Bob's well known for not carrying any debt. Most everything including the 7000 square foot House is already bought and paid for. Before the 19 Kids and Counting news story broke wide open, Jim Bob Duggar's Net Worth was estimated over $4 million before "19 Kids and Counting" was taken down by TLC. The Family's frugal ways of saving and investing for the future has turned out to be more important than the Duggar's could've possibly ever imagined. Being one of the most Famous Reality Family's in the History of Reality TV with over 200 Episodes in syndication was a guaranteed steady stream of income that's now been completely cut off. The Duggar's might have little debt, but they still need a new source of income for monthly expenses including an enormous food bill.
Is the Duggar Family already going Financially Broke?
It would be interesting to know what the monthly expenses are for the Duggar Family Raising 19 Kids and still counting. To me, that almost seems unrealistic being responsible for so many precious lives. But regardless of what anyone thinks, the Duggar Family gave the Fans exactly what they wanted over the years (More Kids) as the Family grew from 14 to 19 Kids since become Reality TV Stars. Now that TLC officially announced "19 Kids and Counting" has been canceled and will not be resuming production, (Much less rerun's of their Highest Rated Reality Show) the Duggar Family has essentially been cut-off from their major source of income. The first clue the Duggar's might already be in financial trouble soon after "19 Kids and Counting" was officially canceled can be seen on the Duggar Studios You-Tube Channel. There are several YouTube Celebrity Channels "Making Bank" every month providing quality content as their popularity grows, but the Duggar's have come up with another way to make the Duggar Studios Channel profitable, simply ask for donations.
Now for all you hardcore 19 Kids and Counting Fans, this might seem like a good deal to financially support the Duggar Studio Channel, especially if the videos were behind-the-scenes unedited bloopers or something like that. But unfortunately, there's nothing special about the Duggar's YouTube Channel worth paying extra for, but you're welcome to make a one-time or monthly donation if you'd like to. You'd have to see it for yourself (the channel, videos, donation box, etc,.) to believe it's already come to this point. After 237 Success Episode's helping make the Duggar Family Multi-Millionaires, they're looking for new ways to make money. But a You-Tube Channel that hasn't been updated for Months?
Duggar Studios Donation Update:
The donation boxes for Duggar Studios was already removed on both the You-Tube Channel and the website. That's a good thing because it's easy to see how people might have received the wrong impression when it comes to soliciting for donations on a sub-par You-Tube Channel. There has been talk TLC might still bring back a spin-off show featuring Jill and Jessa Duggar that was already in the works before the 19 Kids and Counting Show was canceled. Can the Duggar sisters financially make enough money from the spin-off to help support such a large family while still keeping their name in the spotlight? Only time will tell if TLC decides to bring back the Duggars, even if it's only two sisters out of nineteen kids and counting.
An interesting fact concerning all the Duggar children is all their names begin with the letter J. So far, Jim Bob and Michelle have 10 boys, 9 girls and soon-to-be dozens of grandchildren. In a generation from now they could star in a new Reality Show called "101 Duggar's and Counting". The name's of all the kids so far include Josh & wife Anna plus four children, Jana & John-David (first set of twins), Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah & Jeremiah (also twins), Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie. For a couple that didn't have any children until after four years of marriage, they certainly have been on a roll ever since.
Time for Bob and Michelle to set up trust funds for their children in order that they may have a fresh start toward education and choices for lives of their own. Too much MOMMA and PAPPA!!!!! Ellen F.
